Frequently Asked Questions

The Kampot pepper is exceptional in that each of its colors has a completely different taste, making it suitable for various types of dishes. It is therefore ideal for the so-called pairing with foods, where you can combine one or even two types of pepper. Don’t be afraid to experiment – after all, it's up to you to decide which combination you like best!

We only sell whole peppercorns. Grind the pepper to your liking. If you crave a spicy taste, grind it finely; if you want to experience the true flavor of each pepper, opt for a coarser grind—the result is fantastic! We keep the pepper whole solely to preserve 100% freshness, quality, and flavor, just as if you were in Cambodia on one of our plantations.

The grinding mechanism can even crush coarse salt. We do not recommend grinding chili peppers or other spices in it, as Grinder would become clogged. The same applies to our lyophilized pepper (thanks to its salt content, it is much smaller and more delicate), which should be crushed in a mortar or used as whole peppercorns.

The pepper we provide is hand-packed under strict inspection in the Czech Republic no later than one month before sale, which is reflected in its flavor. We import pepper fresh from Cambodia immediately after harvest, carefully vacuum-sealed by the kilo. We do not know of any other company in the world that approaches the control and preservation of Kampot pepper quality with such precision.

Kampot pepper gained the unique PGI - Protected Geographical Indication - certificate, which declares that the Kampot area in Cambodia is the best in the world for growing pepper. It is the same as for other protected products, such as genuine Champagne.

We are currently securing a location for a brick-and-mortar store. Until then, you can find us at various food festivals; specific locations will be announced on our Facebook or Instagram in due course.

We ship the goods by the next working day, and engraving takes up to a week. Delivery within the Czech Republic is usually on the working day following dispatch. The delivery time depends on the workload of the individual transportation companies (e.g. during holiday periods).

In most cases, the order is ready on the same day; if you order in the afternoon, it will be prepared on the following day.

The white color you see on the surface of the freeze-dried pepper is caused by a saline solution from real salt flower, used to preserve the fresh green pepper during transport from Cambodia to the Czech Republic, so as to retain its maximum freshness.
