Origin

Kampot pepper is grown in the province of Kampot located in the far south of Southeast Asian Cambodia.

It is an area that, thanks to its coastal climate and geological conditions, allows local farmers to produce pepper of the highest quality in the world. It is no wonder that this pepper has received a protected geographical indication, similar to French champagne.
We purchase pepper from small family farms under direct trade conditions, which ensure a fair reward for each grower, and we strive to promote this approach among other traders.
Thanks to this, by purchasing from us, you not only get pepper of the highest quality but also the assurance that you are buying a sustainable and morally responsible product, which helps provide its producers with medical care and education for their children.

Characteristic

Green fermented pepper brings the taste of fresh green peppercorns with a gentle grace.

Thanks to it, it could almost be called Cambodian caviar with subtly fresh tones and a salty taste, which makes it especially suitable for seasoning.

Processing

Fermented Kampot pepper contains fresh green grains processed using an ancient Japanese fermentation method directly in Cambodia.

To the pickled grains is added a pinch of fleur de sel obtained by evaporating sea water, which ensures the absolute freshness of the grains. Thanks to this processing, they retain the taste of delicate green pepper just picked from the pepper vine, which was appreciated by the president of the association, which oversees the quality of exported pepper in Cambodia.

Thanks to careful selection meeting strict quality requirements for pepper exported from Kampot, set by the Kampot Pepper Association, only the best grains are handpicked. They are then vacuum-packed to preserve quality and freshness during the journey to the Czech Republic, where they are further selected, packaged, and delivered right to your table.

Usage

Fermented green pepper will be loved for its mildness especially by enthusiasts of vegetarian cuisine.

It is not suitable to combine it with meat, rather add it to salads, spreads or try it with avocado. It is suitable as a finish for creamy soups, gently enhancing the taste of risotto, shrimp and with its help, you can also create perfect sandwiches or toasts.

This pepper is not suitable for grinding in a mill due to clogging of the grinding mechanism.

Package

Thanks to the materials used and the special bag sealing technology, no air or moisture reaches the pepper.

We pack the pepper immediately after the fermentation process into vacuum bags with a capacity of 40 to 100 grams. This allows the grains to retain the authentic taste, freshness, and aroma of Kampot pepper after opening the bag. Each Package also includes a brochure that brings you the story of the world's best pepper and introduces the world of .pepper..field.

Award

Quality is our top priority, as confirmed not only by the certificates our pepper carries but also by the awards it receives from global competitions.

Among the most significant is the award given to our pepper in the framework of the Great Taste competition, one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of gastronomy.

However, sustainability is also important to us, which we do not perceive as just empty words, as evidenced by the SDG’s award given to truly sustainable and socially responsible projects.
